<<CIMG0717.JPG>> ther Van stopped by. He had just gotten home from
training. He ships out April 6th for the war. He had great fun with
Hyrum trying on his hats. I will miss my brother while he is away. Van
is very intellegent, he hated doing homework so in high school he would
do his calculas homework during class and just figure it out himself.
Van & I always had fun together. He never liked being bossed around so
when I babysat it usually didn't go very well. Van called me from Chile
and all he wanted was a recipe "I don't have time to talk I am almost
out of minutes but I need the recipe to No Bake Cookies." He did take
pictures of the cookies that cost him $10 in phone calls to make. I
love my little brother and will miss him greatly while he is away.

Hyrum likes baby food! His little outfit has monsters on it. Jaydee told me Monster shirt, Monster Pants, he needs monster shoes and monster socks. (She must like matching however I never see that when she dresses herself.)

Pictures from November???

Yes, I am slow, but I am finally unloading my camera....

FW: Chloe's story reaches upstate NY

Here is something to consider, Ryan (Chloe’s dad) was a coworker of mine a few years ago.  I just read this article and thought I would share it.  I considered saving the cord blood but the cost was high we decided not to.  So please share your thoughts and stories about cord banking with me.

Vandee

Here is a link to an article that just came out in the Daily Times Newspaper in the Finger Lakes area.  We have since learned of an amazing statistic.

In a city whose population equals the number of cord blood units stored at CBR, statistics calculated from Center of Disease Control (CDC) data would predict that every 1 in 50 children by age 6 will develop or experience a condition that has no cure today and is currently being researched for treatment with newborn stem cells. This includes traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, type 1 diabetes, heart disorders and hearing loss.

You can check out a great video at www.cordblood.com  We have been working closely with Cbr to get the word out on cord blood banking.

January Quick Update

Winter is my favorite time of year!  J/K but I do like snow, hot chocolate and sledding.  Which we did with the Toronto’s Sariah & Jacob were both here with their families. (Sam’s cousins) It was fun, someday I may even get the pictures off the camera and sent out, but since I haven’t done Christmas pictures yet, don’t hold your breath.  We had a quick trip which we thought would be a vacation, we went up to Page, Kayenta & Tuba City.  My brother Tyler took 3rd at the Page Wrestling Tournament.  I visited a few CellularOne stores.  It was fast and furious.  Mmm, Sam is facing budget cuts at school, we doubt he will lose his job but he is not tenured yet so that is a possibility.  Tell your congressman to stop cutting education!   Work is busy for me, which is good.  Jaydee can count and identify some letters, she is not overly interested in writing but she is really improving her coloring.  Last Sunday in church Jaydee had her first tithing envelope ready.  I was giving her an example I thought she would understand about why to pay tithing, "It's so we can have lights in Church."  "We already do have lights!"  she said. Hyrum learned to roll over this month, he was trying to roll and I was cheering him on but he fell back and lost interest.  I got busy doing something and then heard a thump!  Jaydee looked up and said I am helping him roll!  Hyrum LOVES real food.  He is too young for most food but he disagrees and begs for burritos or anything else that you are eating.  He likes most of the stuff we feed him but it has to be really puréed. He is miserable with his teeth trying to come in, but Tylenol and chew toys help that. Hope all is well with you and your families.
